A Wail
A WAIL
Don’t come closer,
For I am afraid to claim you mine
Don’t do things for me,
For I might clash right at the spine.
Oh dear, it’s a mask disguised,
Lurching for nobody to unwind
Don’t console me,
This pain is not theorized.
A soul so fragile, yet the heart asks no guidance
Draw not nearer, for in the hush of my heart
Your footsteps disrupt the silence.
Grief wraps her arms around me
See, I am chosen for endless dwine
Agony? She whispers her futile scheme
The delicate, the broken, the lost
But to permit this storm wash me clean
Shall I allow? Screams a divine.
Yes, my heart aches
But lil should I acknowledge, it hopes
Wailing in the bliss, a new dawn must break
For in the chaos, a new me it makes.
So, here I disregard loneliness
To nurture the epic of solitude
Perplexed yet explicit,
Would surely wander in the muse
And a moment of peace shall have my gratitude!
