The Letter

 THE LETTER

So, how’re you, my once acclaimed happy place?

Your voice, still as soft

Your stare, still as intense

You ask what I miss? Everything!

Gentle caress of your words, stealing glances.

Jump in the wetland, coffee together,

One umbrella, two happy under,

And when wind disclosed the distance,

The hopeless dance of our pinky finger,

The empire i built still asks for you,

It was always obvious,

You, me, among everyone familiar.

Denial to every assumptions,

As if we had no clue,

Eyes drowned in each others,

Handshakes of promises? Still we refuse,

But such was never the rivalry,

Fate, at once, did linger,

And maybe, maybe that was the glue.

This soul has been empty, since,

Eversince the mate left farther,

I still go roam in the terrain,

That was once built as “US” together.

Hope, it is! But you’re no longer there,

Hence, everything is what i miss,

You are what i miss,

Because, I loved you like no other!
